The road crossing at North Thoresby station has undergone a big tidy-up over the summer. The untidy wire mesh fence that had been put up when the north crossing gate was destroyed some years back has gone and we now have a smart looking outer fence, two replacement Wicket gate’s, a concrete public footpath and an inner fence to separate the footpath from the trackbed. The trackbed itself has been leveled and the grass now growing on it is mowed on a regular basis to keep it tidy. To finish off, a white line has been painted along the North Platform edge. It now looks cared for and many favourable comments have been received from local residents and visitors to the railway.
