The vital upgrade of the existing track and point work in Ludborough yard to enable passenger trains to use the extension towards Louth has now been completed and work will re-start on track laying on the section Pear Tree Lane very shortly.
Our picture shows more sleepers being loaded on to wagons for movement towards Pear Tree Lane for laying. The ‘Making Tracks for Louth’ appeal has now topped the £50,000 mark and we are currently in the process of purchasing 250 concrete sleepers and 30 lengths of rail for use on the extension, which has come at a cost of £25,000.
So, we’re making good progress but need to continue raising funds to buy more materials. If you would like to donate to our appeal click here.
