Lincolnshire Wolds Railway Museum
The railway at Ludborough, which was part of the East Lincolnshire route running from Boston to Grimsby, is steeped in history.
Over the years we have built up a collection of artefacts which all contribute to our understanding of the development of the railways in this region. The extension of the station building now includes a dedicated museum area which has enabled us to display this unique collection of local railway memorabilia going back over 150 years.
There’s an array of cast iron notices, railway lamps, tickets, uniform buttons, advertising signs, name boards which used to be seen on station platforms and paper ephemera, all from an era that is now just a distant memory.
In addition to the artefacts on display, the museum has archive photographs and newspaper reports from events which have taken place on the railway.
The museum is open on Running Days and admission is free!
